The family owned and operated 3 Amigos Fresh Mexican Grill is the dream come true of the three Rodriquez brothers (Leonardo, Juan, and Federico) who have always wanted to serve their mother’s delicious recipes to others in their community.  The menu selections bring you authentic dishes from the state of Zacatecas in central Mexico, and in particular the famous and unique gorditas dishes of that region.  The first location was opened in Thousand Oaks in 2002 and is popular with local residents, including CLU students.  The second location in Newbury Park serves that end of the Conejo Valley including the Dos Vientos development.

Beyond being a family business and Mom’s recipes, the 3 Amigos Fresh Mexican Grill is characterized by the freshness of their ingredients including the hand-made tortillas and gorditas; their exclusive use of high-quality chicken breasts and beef; their popular specials menu; and their affordable prices.  Favorites on the main lunch and dinner menu are the burritos, Fish Tacos, chicken Gorditas, Fajita combo, and Enchiladas Rojas.  The specials menu definitely needs to be reviewed before making your selection and always contains Mom’s famous home-made flan dessert.  You can review both menus by clicking on the links above.

The Thousand Oaks location also has outside seating.  You can even watch your order being prepared in the open kitchen.

Carryout:  Ten minutes is all that is needed for individual carryout meals – so make your selections from the menus (links below), call in your order, and it will be ready for you when you arrive.

Party Platters:  3 Amigos offers an excellent selection of platters for business meetings, parties, family occasions.  Each platter serves 6 to 8 people. Plates, serving utensils, and napkins are provided.  Two hour lead time is adequate for single platters – two day lead time is preferred for large (20 people or more) platter orders.  You can review the available platters by clicking on the party platter menu link below.

Hours:  3 Amigos is open 11 AM to 9 PM Sunday through Thursday, and 11 AM to 9:30 PM on Friday and Saturday.

Directions:  Thousand Oaks: Take the Moorpark Rd. exit from the 101 Freeway and travel north.  Turn left at Avenida de los Arboles.  3 Amigos is in the shopping center located at the intersection of Moorpark Rd. and Avenida de los Arboles (NEXT TO RITE-AID).

Newbury Park:  Coming from Thousand Oaks take the Wendy Rd. exit from the 101 Freeway, make a left turn, and continue on Wendy Rd. for 0.4 miles. Turn right at Borchard Rd. and go 0.4 miles to Reino Rd.  3 Amigos is in the shopping center located at the intersection of Reino and Borchard Roads.
